From Seed to Harvest: Fresh Progress in Our Allotment Area! 🌱

Things are truly bursting into life down in our school allotment. Over the past few months, the space has been transformed into a thriving fruit and vegetable hub, giving our students a hands-on introduction to sustainable gardening.

The patch is currently packed with an impressive variety of produce. We have juicy strawberries and sweet tomatoes ripening in the sun, alongside tart gooseberries and patches of fragrant mint leaves. The orchard side of the plot is also shaping up beautifully, with young apples and pears developing nicely on the trees. In addition to the fruit and herbs, several different types of seasonal vegetables are steadily growing and nearing harvest.

This outdoor workspace allows students to actively engage with the entire lifecycle of their food. By taking responsibility for everything from preparing the soil and planting the seeds to managing the daily watering, they get the unique experience of watching their consistent care come to fruition. It is a fantastic showcase of patience, teamwork, and practical biology in action.

Huge Congratulations on Completing Your 4 AQA Units! 🎉

We are absolutely thrilled to celebrate a massive milestone today. A huge well done to one of our fantastic students for successfully completing four AQA-accredited units!

This is no small feat. Tackling AQA units requires a serious amount of dedication, independent focus, and hard work.

Earning these accreditations isn't just about the certificates—it's a testament to your capability, your growth, and your readiness for the exciting next steps ahead.

The entire team is cheering you on. Keep this fantastic momentum going, celebrate this well-deserved success, and remember that you can achieve whatever you set your mind to. Brilliant job!

Gear, Grease, and Great Success: Celebrating Our Latest Achievements!

We are very pleased to share that three of our students have recently completed their AQA Certificates in Level 1 Fast Fit Operations on Vehicles and Level 1 Intro to Vehicle Valeting.

These qualifications are the result of significant effort and a consistently high level of focus in the workshop. Throughout the course, the students worked hard to master practical skills ranging from essential vehicle maintenance to professional valeting techniques.

Earning these certificates requires both technical accuracy and a strong commitment to the task at hand. It is rewarding to see such a "huge effort" lead to a successful outcome, and these achievements mark a positive step forward in their vocational education.

Congratulations to all three students on their hard work and well-deserved success.

Baking Up Success: How Our Path4 School Kitchen Became a Hit!

At Path4 School, our cooking classes have always been a vibrant part of our Path4 School options, and this term has been no exception.

The moment our students step into the kitchen, there's an infectious buzz of excitement. Focusing on baking, the aroma of sweet treats quickly fills the air. Our budding chefs master everything from precise measuring to the delicate art of kneading dough. Crucially, they learn to collaborate, share equipment, and support each other's skills.

The real magic unfolds during the taste test. The smiles, the oohs and aahs, and the unanimous verdict of "guuuuurd!" make all the hard work worthwhile. From fluffy cupcakes to perfectly golden cookies, our students not only create delicious treats but also gain confidence and a sense of accomplishment. These classes aren't just about recipes; they're about fostering creativity, teamwork, and a lifelong love for cooking.

Kicking off the new 25/26 academic year, Path4 School has harnessed the same incredible momentum we finished with last year, seamlessly transitioning it into a fresh start.

We welcomed our new cohort of students with the same high-energy, supportive environment that defines us. The buzz of potential is palpable. This year, we've strengthened our team with new specialist staff, whose expertise is already integrating into our programs, adding new dimensions to our proven pathways.

The focus remains unwavering: delivering outstanding, tailored outcomes. It’s the same powerful Path4 mission, now amplified by new faces and renewed ambition. The foundation is strong, the team is aligned, and we’re charging into the year with confidence and excitement.

Sanctuary - Sensory Garden

Our sensory garden provides a rich, multi-sensory experience for students. Visually, vibrant flowers and shifting leaves capture attention. Sounds of rustling leaves and wind chimes stimulate auditory senses, while the outdoor classroom encourages focused listening. Tactile experiences abound: students can feel the varying textures of plants, from rough bark to fuzzy lamb's ear, and delight in the incredibly soft fur of our resident rabbits, fostering a calming connection through touch. Aromatic herbs engage the sense of smell, enhancing memory and relaxation. This immersive environment supports holistic development, improving focus, reducing anxiety, and making learning a truly engaging, hands-on adventure for all.

College Visits

Path4 recently visited Oldham to explore the variety of mechanics courses available at the institution. During the visit, they learned about the hands-on training and qualifications offered, which could benefit students pursuing a career in the field of mechanics.
